Ugly Striped Sweater is a homage to my very first website.
Inspired by our favorite teen-drama series, Gossip Girl (and a sprinkle of Mean Girls), my middle school best friends and I decided during a sleepover to make our very own version of the tabloid-esque blog.
The site name was decided after writing our very first post, about a girl who bullied us, and the ugly striped sweater she was wearing the day before.
This was back in 2010 and our gossip site was hosted on Blogger—now a relic of the past.
